ALL aims to deliver a new route for established artists to connect with art lovers living in and around Hastings and Rye. We have created an easy and straightforward procedure for our members to get into the often-unfamiliar art market and start enjoying original art in their own homes. With the pressures on budgets we are all experiencing now, ALL offers an opportunity for people to rent a piece of art without a heavy up-front investment. It could be that our members want to ‘dress’ a room for a special occasion; love a particular artist but can’t commit to a single piece, preferring to swap around on a regular basis; or want to upgrade their home’s impact during a sale. 

We are collectors ourselves and know what a difference it makes to have real art in our homes. We want to make this experience available to people who wouldn’t normally invest a large lump sum in a single piece, or who are already collectors and want to support their local artists and/or try someone new. Our platform is the showcase for the work, enabling our members to browse at leisure and learn more about our artists before expressing interest. Each piece is fully described on the artist’s page, and we show both the rental and sale prices. If a member wants to rent or buy a piece, they are put into direct contact with the artist. This adds a richness to the experience not normally available via galleries or auctions.

In order to be able to rent pieces, you can join an exclusive club and rent without obligation to buy (minimum 1 month). The artist will help select the right spot in the home for the piece, making the whole transaction much more personal. We can also provide artwork for dressing properties that are on the market, or for businesses. The Art lending Library is  virtual but we will have two events a year when we can all get together, and we will keep in touch with periodic newsletters.

While renting is our prime purpose, we do expect that from time to time our members will fall in love with a particular piece and want to own it forever. Where this happens, the rent already paid will be deducted from the sale price should the member buy the piece. As an alternative, our artists may be able to provide a signed and numbered print.
